Description:
Tushemisht is a settlement in the Korçë County, in southeastern Albania, located on the shores of Lake Ohrid. It was part of the former Buçimas municipality. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Pogradec. The village is very close to the border with Republic of North Macedonia. It sits at an elevation of 841m. Before the 2015 government reform the village was included in the Buçimas municipality.
The village is shown in the Albanian movie Zonja nga qyteti (The lady from the city).
The small tourist village which is located only 6 kilometers from the town of Pogradec and has a completely sandy beach. The small village by the lake became famous from the films “The lady from the city” and “A friend from the country”. It takes a few meters of road to reach the center of the village which bears the name “Sheshi Ollga” marked on a plaque that stands in one of the village houses.
