In Elbasan there is a destination that has aroused the curiosity of many visitors. He is the Eye of the Cyclops and there is a legend about him.
There is a legend about the abyss below the rocks of Krraba. There is a lake with emerald water. They say that it is the place where the cyclops died.
His eye gave depth and color to the pit, and his heart its shape.
It is called the “Eye of the Cyclops” or as they call it “The Track of the Cyclops” between Elbasan and Tirana in the village called Skëterrë, in the Erzen river valley.
A water formation 20 meters wide and 12 meters deep. A tributary of the Erzen River, it flows in the form of a small cataract. Together with the rock formations they create a fabulous landscape.
It is one of the latest discoveries made by nature adventurers. On these warm days there are many visitors. From Tirana, Elbasan, the surrounding cities. But also many tourists.
