Description:
Before coming to Korca, I wasn’t actually aware of the great photographer Gjon Mili and his extraordinary work. The Museum Gjon Mili is situated in the so-called Romanian House, which is situated in the main city’s pedestrian zone, thus you cannot miss it, due to its unusual exterior design. The Museum offers you an opporunity to take a peak into the glamurous world of one of the famous people coming from various dimensions of life (politicians, artists, writers, musicians, actors and actresses, etc).
Working as a professional photographer for the Life Magazine, Gjon Mili had the opportunity not only to take exclusive pictures of famous people, but also to befriend with them, info about which can be found in the museum. What is more is that Gjon Mili actually invented the use of stroboscopic instruments for the purposes of capturing a sequence of actions in only one photograph. Also, the curator, Kristi, was an amazing guide and explained everything in detail. In the end, there is also the opportunity to take a picture of yourself with Gjon Mili’s method of taking picture, which is simply an amazing thing to do. All in all, if you’re in Korca, simply do not miss to visit this amazing place! You won’t regret it!
